Corset Cake with Brush Embroidery

This is a cake that I practically begged to make. I've been wanting to make a corset cake for a while, I've been wanting to use my brush embroidery techniques for a while, and I just generally have wanted to bake, since I've been super busy at work and I haven't had time! So a girl I know sells corsets and other lingerie as a side business, and she regularly has a lingerie party/girls night. After she announced her latest girls night, I sent her a message and said "please please please let me make you a cake!". And of course, who in their right mind would say no to cake?
I'm pretty darn pleased with how this came out. I could have probably done a slightly better job on shaping it if I had had a lazy susan to put the dang thing on, but oh well. And the "boning" could probably have been done a little straighter, but, as always, I really shouldn't be decorating at 3 in the morning lol.
At least I barely had to throw anything away this time because my husband came over and was eating everything. I had to shoo him out of the kitchen when he started going for the stuff I hadn't used yet!
